The wave of energy that will spawn the Post-Christmas snow storm is just beginning to move onshore. Here is a satellite loop looking out over the Pacific Ocean and the northwest United States.
This is good as the computer models will be able to sample the storm and should be able to have a better handle on the storms path, etc.
